CRD- GIAN- DAAD symposium: Advanced information technologies in collaborations: preconditions for constructing effective networks of researchers and facilities
Cosmic Rays, Alikhanyan Physics Institute;
Nor Amberd, Armenia, August 29- 30, 2008
A 2-day seminar was held at Nor Amberd international conference center hosting 25 participants from Iran, Germany and Armenia.
15 papers were presented during the following 2 sessions:
-
Research and networking: international collaborations and the challenges of millennium development goals (i).
-
Special session dedicated to solar radiation and hazard prevention on the occasion of international heliophysical year (i):
Reymers A. “Efficiency of Neutral and Charged Cosmic Ray Registration by 4 Layered Scintillator Detector”
Mailyan B. “Daily Variations of Cosmic Ray Flux at Minimum of Solar Activity”
Hovhannisyan A. “Filtration and Smoothing of the Time Series”
Chilingarian A. “Scientific network for Measuring Geophysical Parameters: Fundamental Research and International Collaboration”
Caro Lucas “From Solar Hazard Prediction To Smart Environment Design: The Road To Research Networking”
Gemmeke H. “Cosmic Ray Research – modern experiments and scientific collaborations”
The papers were summarized during the final meeting devoted to reporting of discussion panels and formulation of action plans.
At the Aragats research station the particle detectors were demonstrated to conference participants. Karen Arakelyan and Gagik Hovsepyan introduced them to ASEC monitors registering charged and neutral fluxes of cosmic rays.
