Summary description of the seminar
Nowadays the Space science is one of those fields that attract a highest attention from research institutes, industry and even governments. Moreover, it is more global problem including the interests of all countries. Hence, the study of materials and devices in the environment close to Space can play an important role in research and technology, in particular, as to create materials and devices with new or improved functions using the space conditions (for example, high particles irradiations). Beyond its strong link with materials science, it contributes to the development of new components, new systems for devices applicable in Space and other fields ranging from production engineering to control system and measurement techniques. The advances in space technology require creation of a new base elements with small sizes. The use of irradiation methods allow to work out, for example, nano- materials which are very important in this regard. The development of new technologies based in test results of space environment modeling equipment is an up-to-date problem.
The proposed seminar is to review the advance in mentioned fields mainly as applications, such as space environment, space factors modeling, test of materials and devices in space modeling equipment, work out of new materials for the use in space and radiation conditions.
International competition and international cooperation in this area are key issues in all the countries where the science and technology are esteemed. The organization of the workshop will enable to develop most effective new technologies of obtaining new materials and devices applicable in different fields of research and industry. The workshop will contribute to cooperation of space sciences related research projects with industry, and possible collaboration between West and East organizations.
- The description of the scientific reason for organizing the conference
The ever growing interest to space sciences and fast growing number of publications in this field (including results obtained within the ISTC project A-1229) requires a live discussion and understanding of the results of investigations. The proposed workshop is intended for that. Participants of the workshop are working in the field of space sciences and have common interests and extensive working connections on different technical issues of the conference agenda. Reports and discussion of the topics of the workshop will undoubtedly contribute to understanding the priority fields of the future investigations and ways to carry out them.
